About the pattern and blanket
This blanket is a smaller version of the blanket I designed for Rauma Garn a few years ago, The original can be found in the Easter edition (Påskeheftet) 370. We thought there should also be a smaller version for the little ones we love – so the baby blanket was designed. The blanket is worked in garter stitch in a spring colour palette. The main colour is broken up with colourfull stripes. When the blanket is knitted, vertical stripes are sewn in to make the checked pattern.
I hope this blanket will also be a suitable scrap yarn project. You only need 15g of each stripe colour and use 10 colours. However you can use as many contrast colours as you wish. Add more colours in your own preferred palette to customise your blanket.
The pattern is translated by Elise Damstra
