About the pattern
This cuddle blanket is worked top-down, beginning with the head. You start with a small number of stitches and increase to shape the head. Stitches for the ears are placed on scrap yarn and worked later.
The head is worked in the round, then decreased to form the neck. The stitch count is then doubled: one set of stitches is used to close the head, while the other continues to form the blanket.
The blanket is shaped using raglan increases and divided into four sections. Each section is worked separately with German short rows to create a rounded shape, and finished with an i-cord edge.
The ears are worked last.
