About the Sweater and the pattern
The Lun Vangen Sweater is the airiest and softest version in the series. It is worked with two strands of Bella by Permin held together, creating a fabric that is as light and fluffy as a cloud. It is worked on 10 mm needles and is simpler to knit than the original version. This is a lighter, more spring-like version thanks to its airy appearance.
The sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. This allows you to become familiar with the pattern and find your rhythm before the work is divided and worked flat. The pattern consists of an open diamond motif in the centre, with a cable and a closed diamond motif on each side. The front and back are identical. After the front and back have been joined at the shoulders, stitches are picked up for the neckband, which is then folded to the inside and secured. Stitches are then picked up for the sleeves. The sleeves also feature an open diamond motif with a cable on each side. Sleeve decreases are worked gradually down the sleeve.
The sweater shown in the photos is knitted using one strand of Smørblomst and one strand of Naturhvid held together.
The sample shown is size 4 (132 cm), worn with 50 cm of positive ease on a body with an 82 cm bust circumference.
