About the garment
Overvintring Classic is a newer version of the original. Note that this version of the pattern is steeked and this should be considered when selecting yarn. If not using the original pattern yarn, choose a “sticky” yarn that will hold together when cut and not unravel. It has a classic fit that is quite fitted to the body. It is a short garment when made according to the pattern measurements. Measure your chest circumference and select the size that is closest to your actual circumference. The cardigan is worked top down with short rows to shape the back of the neckline, and circular increases are made as you work the yoke. The body is straight, and the sleeves have decreases down the length towards the cuff. The button bands are worked by picking up stitches on either side of the steeking stitches. To finish, the steeking stitches are cut down the middle.
