About the stocking and pattern
Vangen Christmas stocking is based on the pattern from the Vangen sweater, with cables and double ribbing. It is worked top down with a chart for the cable pattern. A simple loop can also be knitted and sewed on. A classic Christmas stocking with a nostalgic feel. It is worked in two strands of Finull (or a single strand of Vams / fritidsgarn) with slightly smaller needles, so it has a neat look but also is firm enough to hold gifts. It can also be lightly felted either by hand or in the dryer if you want a thicker fabric that can hold more weight.
